Wisconsin Congressman and Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany told NewsMax TV Friday that Democrats ‘want to keep the millions of illegal aliens who entered during the Biden-Harris years in our country.’
Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wis., urged House Republicans on Friday to stand firm against Democratic efforts to undermine border security, warning that the left remains committed to open borders and shielding millions of illegal immigrants who entered under the Biden-Harris administration.
Appearing on Newsmax’s “Bianca Across the Nation,” Tiffany called on the House to amend a Senate-passed funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security. He argued the measure falls short by failing to adequately support critical immigration enforcement and protective programs, including a child sex trafficking unit left unfunded amid what he described as a Democratic “tantrum.”
“At the end of the day, Democrats want open borders,” Tiffany said. “They want to keep the millions of illegal aliens who entered during the Biden-Harris years in our country. Republicans cannot fold. I know I won’t.”
Tiffany’s comments come as Republicans push to restore robust funding for enforcement agencies like ICE while countering Democratic resistance to measures that would prioritize deportation and border integrity. He stressed that yielding on these issues would reward years of lax policies that endangered American communities and strained public resources.
Conservatives have long argued that Democratic opposition to full DHS funding reflects a deeper ideological commitment to lax enforcement rather than practical governance. Tiffany’s call for amendments underscores GOP determination to deliver results for voters who demanded change in recent elections, refusing to let partisan obstruction derail efforts to protect national sovereignty.
“Republicans must hold the line,” Tiffany said.
