Dr. Maqsood Khan, who is running for the Milwaukee County Board against conservative incumbent Patti Logsdon, donated to the “Salah Sarsour Justice Fund” after Sarsour was arrested on terror-related charges last week.
A candidate for Milwaukee County Board donated to the legal defense fund of Salah Sarsour, the head of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee who was arrested on terror-related charges last week.
Dr. Maqsood Khan gave $100 to the “Salah Sarsour Justice Fund” with a message from Khan praising Sarsour as having “served the Milwaukee community for decades.” Khan is challenging incumbent Supervisor Patti Logsdon in the County Board District 9 election tomorrow.

Sarsour was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Milwaukee last week. The Department of Justice said in a news release that he is suspected of funding terror networks and lying on his immigration papers. Sarsour failed to disclose that he was convicted of throwing Molotov cocktails at the homes of Israeli soldiers before he immigrated to the United States in 1993.
Sarsour’s supporters have described the action as an abduction and have organized the Salah Sarsour Justice Fund to help pay for his legal defenses. A search of its donors reveals a $100 donation from Dr. Khan.
Sarsour faces removal proceedings as a result of his lie on his immigration forms. The Department of Homeland Security has repeatedly referred to him as a “terrorist.”
βSalah Salem Sarsour is a terrorist convicted for throwing Molotov cocktails at the homes of Israeli armed forces. This illegal alien from Jordan lied on his green card application to gain legal status in the U.S.,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “Thanks to President Trump and ICE, this terrorist is out of American communities. This Administration will always put the safety of the American people FIRST and Make America Safe Again.β
