22-year-old North High School special education instructor faces child sexual assault charges after district reports multiple victims
A special education instructor at Eau Claire North High School was arrested Wednesday on two felony counts of child sexual assault after the Eau Claire Area School District reported a potential inappropriate relationship between a staff member and a student, police said.
Nadia M. Horn, 22, of Eau Claire, was taken into custody following an investigation by the Eau Claire Police Department. She was transported to the Eau Claire County Jail and is awaiting her initial court appearance. Bond was set at $1,898.
Horn faces charges of sexual assault of a child by a school staff person, under Wisconsin statute § 948.095(2), and second-degree sexual assault of a child, under § 948.02(2). Police said the investigation identified multiple victims.
The Eau Claire Police Department detailed the case in a news release posted to Facebook on Wednesday afternoon. On March 25, 2026, the school district notified the School Resource Officer at North High School about the potential inappropriate relationship. The officer began an investigation, which gathered information leading to Horn’s arrest.
“The Eau Claire Police Department is committed to ensuring that the victims receive support and services,” the release stated. “The ECASD will have counselors and staff available for families and students as needed. This investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released at a later time.”
The school district responded immediately. Superintendent Mike Johnson issued a statement to North High School families on Wednesday: “Providing a safe, caring environment for your children is our most important responsibility in the Eau Claire Area School District. We take this responsibility very seriously. On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, we learned of alleged inappropriate conduct by a staff member. The North High School and District Administration contacted law enforcement immediately upon learning of this allegation.”
Johnson added that Horn has been suspended without pay pending legal resolution. “Learning about alleged inappropriate conduct by a staff member is deeply troubling for all of us,” he said. “We kindly request that the school community respect the privacy of our students and their families and refrain from spreading rumors or speculation. Our Student Services staff are available to help any child or staff who may be experiencing difficulties with this news.”
The district said it will continue cooperating fully with the Eau Claire Police Department.
According to information gathered on Facebook, Nadia Horn was a 2025 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and her brother, Logan, is the current boys’ basketball coach at Eau Claire North.
