At the Menomonee Falls School Board candidate forum, hosted by Moms for Liberty-Wisconsin on March 1, 2026, candidates addressed the issue of biological males participating in female sports. A local resident asked, “Should biological males be allowed to participate in female sports against biological females? Why or why not?” Responses, shared in a Facebook video by our friends on the “Menomonee Falls Mosquito” page, highlighted differing perspectives on fairness, science, and the protection of young athletes.

Three candidates—Nicole Barker, Jefferson Davis, and Dr. Joel Woppert—delivered the no-nonsense answer conservatives expect: “Heck NO.” Their articulate, concise rejections emphasized biological realities, safety concerns, and the fundamental unfairness of pitting males against females in competition. Barker, a nurse, highlighted the physical advantages males hold, backed by undeniable science. While Davis and Woppert made it clear that the integrity of women’s sports must be protected. This stance aligns with the majority of Americans, including 68-70% in national polls who believe athletes should compete based on biological sex. It’s not bigotry; it’s basic biology and common sense, meant to prevent injuries and preserve opportunities for female athletes who’ve trained tirelessly.
But then came the liberal evasion artists: Becky Derlein and Emily Kant Schlimme. These candidates twisted themselves into knots to avoid a direct yes or no, their mealy-mouthed responses betraying clear support for allowing males in girls’ sports. As the Facebook post bluntly states, “Becky Derlein and Emily Kant Schlimme clearly want males in female sports but did their best to not directly answer a simple yes/no question.” These two far-left progressive women are out of touch with the village’s values; their dodges exemplify the left’s obsession with “inclusion” at the expense of women’s rights. The majority in Menomonee Falls, a community that values tradition and fairness, rejects this nonsense. Steve Taylor’s absence only adds to the frustration—voters deserve transparency from all.
This incident isn’t isolated; it’s part of a national battle. The New Richmond School Board in northern Wisconsin is continuing to allow biological males to use girls’ bathrooms, with the school district facing a Title IX investigation from the US Department of Education over that continued policy.
Conservatives in Menomonee Falls must elect Barker, Davis, and Woppert to safeguard girls’ futures against the left’s gender-blurring madness. As the video shows, when liberals won’t say “no” to protecting women, it’s time for voters to say “no” to them. The stakes? Nothing less than the integrity of women’s sports and the safety, dignity, and respect of our daughters.
