A 22-year-old man is dead and two teenagers are hurt after a triple shooting in Milwaukee’s popular bar district early Sunday morning.
A triple shooting early Sunday on Milwaukee’s Water Street left one man dead and two others injured early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire at about 1 a.m. near North Water Street and East Knapp Street, in the heart of the downtown nightlife district. A 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene while an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made.
The incident follows a quintuple shooting Saturday on the city’s north side near North 37th Street and West Good Hope Road. Around 11 a.m., an argument escalated into gunfire, wounding five people and killing a 22-year-old man. That case remains under investigation with no arrests reported.
Water Street, a popular bar and entertainment strip in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, has seen increased violence in recent years. Multiple shootings in 2025 prompted city officials to implement enhanced safety measures and increased police presence after incidents that raised concerns about public safety in the downtown area.
