Dylan Pfaffenbach, a lifelong Oak Creek resident and grassroots community activist, announced Friday his candidacy for the Wisconsin State Assembly in the 21st District.
Pfaffenbach is running to succeed Rep. Jessie Rodriguez, R-Oak Creek, who is retiring after more than a decade representing the district.
In his announcement, Pfaffenbach thanked Rodriguez for her service and said he entered the race because families in the community are being squeezed by rising everyday costs.
“I’m running because families across our community are being squeezed by rising every-day costs that make life more difficult,” Pfaffenbach said. “Rising utility rates, the cost of homeownership, and the never-ending property tax hikes are preventing us from reaching our full potential. Wisconsin needs fresh leadership that not only listens to residents but offers new and practical solutions.”
He said his priorities include lowering everyday costs, increasing healthcare price transparency, improving Wisconsin’s education system, and securing neighborhoods for families.
“Madison needs a fierce advocate on the local issues that matter the most to the every-day Wisconsinite,” Pfaffenbach added. “I look forward to being that voice, while working every day to earn the support of the communities I hope to represent this November.”
