While Democrats clash in a messy primary, conservatives rally behind Tom Tiffany, who will fight for lower taxes and affordable energy.
In a strong show of momentum so early in the 2026 election cycle, Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin (AFP-WI) launched its second round of statewide television and digital ads Tuesday in support of Rep. Tom Tiffany for governor. The move highlights what many Wisconsin Republicans see as a rare early consolidation behind a single candidate. This contrasts sharply with the backbiting and chaos unfolding among Democrats vying to replace Gov. Tony Evers.
The new 30-second spot, titled “Affordable,” focuses on the pocketbook issues crushing Wisconsin families. “Wisconsin property taxes are already going to increase for 400 straight years,” the narrator says. “But the liberals running for governor won’t stop there. Their radical mandates will increase your electric bills by $2,700 a year.” The ad then shifts to Tiffany, saying: “A small businessman from northern Wisconsin, Tom Tiffany, will fight for you. He will eliminate the 400-year property tax increase and lower energy costs for families, farmers, and Main Street. A more affordable Wisconsin.”
AFP-Wisconsin State Director Megan Novak made the group’s endorsement clear in a statement released with the ads: “Tom Tiffany is a lifelong Wisconsinite who understands the value of running a business and of hard work. The Badger State has had enough of endless tax hikes and spiking energy bills. Voters need relief from the radical policies of Governor Evers and the Democrats running in the primary. Tom Tiffany’s leadership will bring the relief that families and businesses deserve.”
This marks the second wave of AFP-Wisconsin support for Tiffany. The grassroots conservative powerhouse, Wisconsin’s largest, first rolled out digital ads in late March praising his solutions on taxes, energy costs, and stable leadership. The message from AFP-Wisconsin’s rapid second ad buy is unmistakable: the fight for lower taxes, cheaper energy, and responsible government starts now, and Tom Tiffany is the candidate to deliver it.
