Wisconsin’s School Choice community cannot afford to remain silent during this governor’s race. Thousands of families depend on School Choice, yet many schools and parents appear disconnected from a political contest that could shape the program’s future. If David Crowley wins the race he damn well is going to end School Choice immediately!
School Choice schools need to ban together and create a statement in support of Tom Tiffany. They also need to get their parents involved in the governor’s race. Why are we not actively getting behind the candidate that will ensure School Choice will continue educating students.
The differences between the candidates deserve serious attention.
David Crowley has said he wouldn’t end Choice right away but he has been known to lie. Do we really want parents and schools to trust that Crowley will support a program that people depend on to educate our kids at the level we have come to expect? The Milwaukee County Executive and Democratic gubernatorial nominee, does not support ending Wisconsin’s existing parental school choice voucher program immediately. He does oppose its expansion.
Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany is a strong supporter of school choice. He plans to maintain and expand School Choice and opt Wisconsin into federal scholarship tax credit initiatives. As a state lawmaker, Tiffany voted to expand the program.
Families should not rely on campaign slogans, assumptions or political rumors. They should demand direct answers about the long term stability of School Choice.
School Choice Schools should provide families with accurate information, explain what is at stake and encourage them to vote for School Choice supporters up and down the ballot.
We must fight for our children and support the candidate who stands with us.
Remaining silent puts School Choice in jeopardy. Wake up people and get in the game! Your babies will lose the one thing that gives them hope. Do you really want your children enrolled at a MPS school?
Why aren’t we protecting a program that thousands of families have chosen?
Tom Tiffany should hold a town hall for School Choice families where he can explain what is at stake and his plans to protect and expand School Choice.
The race is close. A September 2026 Marquette Law School Poll found David Crowley supported by 49% of likely voters and Tom Tiffany by 46%, with the difference falling within the poll’s margin of error.
School Choice families play a vital role in determining Wisconsin’s next governor, but they must first become informed and involved.
This is the time for School Choice leaders to educate families, demand commitments and bring parents into the public conversation. Silence is not a strategy. Our children’s education is too important to leave unanswered. Vote to protect and expand School Choice!
